In a hearing on Thursday, Sarah Boone's attorney, James Owens, argued that he should be allowed to use battered spouse syndrome as a defense for his client, who his accused of zipping her boyfriend in a suitcase and leaving him to die.

Judge Michael Kraynick issued a ruling which will allow Sarah Boone to move forward with a battered spouse defense in her murder trial.
