According to a report by NITI Aayog, the GDP of the Mumbai Metropolitan Region could surge from $140 billion to $300 billion by 2030. The Ring Road project is expected to play a crucial role in this economic expansion by improving access to business hubs and easing the transportation of goods and services across the region.

The new roads are being designed with tolls in mind, aiming to ease the burden on existing infrastructure while ensuring that the city’s growing traffic needs are met.

The Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority to construct 90.18 km of new roads, costing ₹58,517 crore.

The project includes a series of roads, tunnels, and bridges covering over 90 km, offering much-needed relief to daily commuters.
